I did thought of Morgan as quite an ass for saying what he did about Emily earlier. Upon further reflection however, we have always known Morgan has trouble trusting her. He felt hurt that she didn't trust him even when they were in danger (Valhalla). It probably stung him that despite him trying to reach out to her in Sense Memory - I believed it took him a lot of effort to say what he did, despite his own insecurities. He was probably unnerved by the fact that the Emily he knew and slowly began to trust (he called her his 'partner' after all) could have been a lie all along. Although he did sounded judgmental (and like a jealous boyfriend! Right on that one, MGG) in his evaluation of Emily's past relationship with Doyle, Morgan was right in calling out on her for not telling them and choosing to run off by herself.
Yes, it was fitting that Morgan was the one by her side in this scene. It would have been weird had been Rossi or Hotch - they were never as best friends to her as Garcia, JJ, Reid and Morgan were. However, JJ's far away - if it was Garcia or Reid, they would never come out of it the same again. It has to be Morgan, who is close to her but stronger, for him to tell her in his own way that despite the turmoil she had place them and herself into, he was glad to have known her.
He probably held her hand all the way to the hospital.
