To my snappiest, dearest, littlest sister who is fondest of the fresh smell of a baking oven -

Sorry I couldn't make a card for you today. Well, I hope this video I found would make you all the much happier: a stop-motion animated film by Carlos Lopez Estrada using sweets and pastry, to the song "Chocolate" by Mexican singing duo Jesse & Joy.

Nikola Tesla's Birthday!

In celebration of the brilliant, eccentric inventive mind which the world once almost forgot.

Today's Harry Houdini's birthday! Or if going by his original name, Erik Weisz.

Magician extraordinaire, escapologist wonder, expert ghostbuster, aviator, supernatural debunker, actor and film producer.

A great footage of Houdini at his best antics.

Coincidentally, you share the same birthdate with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
He is well-known for composing songs like the Oscar-winning You Must Love Me and Don't Cry for Me, Argentina (Evita), The Music of the Night (The Phantom of the Opera) and Memory (Cats).

Another person born on the same day (but not year) is American poet and former US Poet Laureate Billy Collins. I love this particular poem of his, and hope to share it with you.
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday to my dear sister.
Derb the Candle Snuffing Monster greets you with the "Cake Song" tonight.

Couldn't get you a real cat, so will a paper one suffice?
Hope you are happy with my official invitation into the Toe Socks Appreciation and Fanatic Club!

Right?

Grnf. Enjoy your cake.

"Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."

Today's Einstein's Birthday.

When he became a well-known public figure in America, Einstein was often incessantly inquired by people who met him on the streets to explain 'that theory'. In order to avoid further delays due to these meetings, Einstein often told them "Pardon me, sorry! Always I am mistaken for Professor Einstein."

Cheers for the frizzly-haired genius with a sense of humor, and who's the father of modern physics.

Would it be exciting to be mistaken for someone famous? Most times for me, its a genuine case of mistaken 'mundane' identity.
Like when a teacher thought I was a walking mop wearing a uniform.
A kid once ran away from me, thinking I was a Gremlin (granted, I had my mean look on that day.)

Happy Birthday to Paget Brewster.

Gonna miss you after 'Lauren'.

(Maybe not, but who knows?

One can surely hope.)

Happy Birthday, Matthew Gray Gubler!

"I think it's perfectly acceptable and rather admirable to be moderately delusional

"Take criticism, smash it into dust. Add color and use it to paint breathtaking images of unicorns frolicking through endless fields of greatness."

Two favorite quotes by him.
